The new audio and video guides system was donated by the Consulta. Visitors opting for this tool may select a “short” itinerary along the 30 exhibition rooms with the explanation of the three most significant objects on display in each of them, which takes about 45 minutes. Visually impaired visitors may listen to the audio installation describing either the relief works or the objects felt. For the hear impaired visitors instead, a video guide in the sign language is available for the short itinerary.
All audio and video devices were designed to account for different communication needs and also include a second standard itinerary which lasts about 90 minutes with a detailed description of each room and 210 objects in total, for an average of about 7 items each room. A third itinerary is also available, which consists of a further improvement with the description of approximately 288 objects in 120 minutes.
